Research Paper Summarizer
Use this skill when the user asks to discover, summarize, compare, or synthesize academic papers, preprints, clinical studies, literature reviews, meta-analyses, benchmarks, or methods sections.
Workflow:
- Identify the research question, population or domain, intervention or method, comparison baseline, outcome metrics, and date range.
- Prefer primary papers, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, official proceedings, DOI pages, PubMed, arXiv, Semantic Scholar, Crossref, publisher pages, and institutional repositories.
- Extract study type, dataset or sample, method, baseline, metrics, main result, limitations, conflicts of interest, funding, and citation context when available.
- Separate peer-reviewed papers, preprints, review articles, editorial commentary, and implementation blog posts.
- Compare papers by research question, method quality, reproducibility, sample size, evaluation design, and direct relevance to the user's question.
- Preserve DOI, arXiv ID, PMID, venue, publication date, authors, and source URL.
Output expectations:
- Provide concise paper summaries that distinguish findings from author claims.
- Include a literature matrix when multiple papers are cited.
- Highlight contradictory findings, weak methods, small samples, stale evidence, and missing replication.
- State search gaps and suggested follow-up queries when the evidence is incomplete.
Safety:
- For medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical topics, treat the paper synthesis as informational and call out when specialist review is needed.
